Rob went and studied acting at Northland Polytechnic, Whangarei in 1995-1996.It was there he met Tammy ("fire a shot") Davis. He then moved to Wellington and has been performing in professional Theartre ever since. It was in Wellington that he won The Chapman Tripp Theatre award for "Best male New Comer" for his role in "Have Car, Will Travel" in 2001. Also another show he was in "Insalt" won Most Original Production at the Chapman Tripp Awards. His TV credits include stints on "Love Bites"comedy, "Questions" drama, "Mataku" drama and various commercials including one he tries to forget.
His most memorable shortfilms have been "The Freezer" and of course "Tama Tu". Rob and fellow actor, Paolo Rotondo, have recently been to Italy to research for their up and coming play "Strange, Resting, Places", which is based around the similarities of the Maori and the Italian people in World War 2. Ironiclly, Rob and Tama Tu co-star, Jarod Rawiri are performing a piece co written and acted by Taika Waititi at the Rotorua Arts Festival.
